I was lucky enough to work with Rochelle and Nick as their full service wedding planner for more than a year. Despite Rochelle’s crazy schedule with a fellowship during their engagement (on the other side of the country!) she managed to be the most organized bride, and together she and Nick were always excellent at making decisions and sticking to them – which is a wedding planner’s idea of dream clients! On top of that they are both incredibly sweet and kind people, which is why it was no surprise that when we had to make the hard decision to move to Plan B for the ceremony because of inclement weather, they didn’t bat an eyelash. And you know what? Plan B was pretty great!

The ceremony-in-the-round was the perfect way to make a 300-person wedding feel intimate. They were literally surrounded by their loved ones as they exchanged vows. The ceremony was originally supposed to be held at a nearby park but the wind and rain had other plans for us. Moving the ceremony to the Hilton’s second ballroom was a perfect solution, and thankfully the round set-up fit perfectly!
I love watching the couple as they see the reception space for the first time!
The Hilton Rochester has a stunning wall of windows that provides amazing natural light and a fantastic view of downtown.
We repurposed the ceremony aisle floral boxes to line the front of the band area. It added such a beautiful focal point while providing a practical cover for the band’s cords.
