Aäna & Jeff were married on what had to be the most perfect Minnesota day last summer. They had initially tossed around the idea of getting married in their current home of Philadelphia and even possibly a destination wedding somewhere in Canada, but when they were offered the private property of friends of Aäna’s parents in her hometown of Rochester, Minnesota, they were smitten. With its riverside ceremony lawn and rustic barn, the Kvenvold River Ranch was the perfect setting for their nuptials. The couple made sure to incorporate both the bride’s Minnesota background and the groom’s East Coast roots with details throughout the wedding, including a his and hers beer, a custom logo made up of the state of Minnesota with the Philadelphia-famous LOVE image, an awesome bluegrass band, and a late-night Philly cheesesteak station. Aäna’s vision for the flowers was to have it look like an “Alpine meadow exploded in the barn,” and Brianna from Fox & Fern Floral delivered.

The day was filled with personal details and loads of fun, but one of the best memories was the ceremony itself. The bride and groom wrote their own vows and left not a dry eye among the guests.
