Caitlin and Kevin have traveled all over the world, but when it came time to decide where they would get married the small and charming town of Lanesboro, MN was an easy choice. While Caitlin grew up in the Twin Cities, she spent much of her childhood at her grandparents’ home in Lanesboro. Authenticity and sentimental, meaningful details were really important to the couple, and it just felt right to show off this special town to their friends and family who traveled there from literally all over the world.

Caitlin and her ladies got ready in her late grandparents’ home (still owned by her mother’s family) and the two exchanged vows in the same church where Caitlin’s parents were married 30 years ago. The reception table names were all places Caitlin and Kevin have traveled together (everywhere from London to Tokyo!). The menu options were a nod to the couple’s home states and where they currently live (Minnesota, Florida and California). They toasted with the same champagne coupes that Caitlin’s parents used on their wedding day. Sunflowers, the bride’s favorite, were abundant throughout the design. Kevin’s brother, a professional pastry chef in Florida, created the beautiful tiered wedding cake. The personal details were endless!

Following the ceremony, guests arrived at the charming Berwood Hill Inn where they enjoyed Minnesota beer, California wines, and specialty cocktails named after the couple’s favorite travel destinations, all under perfectly sunny skies. Caitlin and Kevin had an incredible wedding party, each of whom shared stories and toasted the happy couple throughout the evening. The party culminated with surprise choreographed dances by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and a rocking traditional Irish ceili dance! It was such a pleasure to help this amazing couple plan their dream wedding day. And I’m so excited for them to welcome their first child this spring!
