Despite the cold May temperatures in Rochester last year, Sarah and Arthur threw a sizzling southern-inspired wedding at the Mayowood Stone Barn. The bride grew up in Rochester, but both her family and the groom’s family are originally from the south so it only seemed fitting to honor their heritage while celebrating their love in the midwest. Guests were treated to a traditional southern menu including shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, and a beignet bar. Other fun details included a cake pull with the bridesmaids, scotch and cigar bar, and a llama piñata as the guest book (the bride’s favorite animal!). The night ended with a sparkler exit as the newlyweds hopped in a vintage getaway car to begin their adventure together as husband and wife!
