Maria and Jimmy discovered the River Ranch in Rochester through a family friend and knew it was the perfect place for their summer nuptials. Though the day started with rain showers off and on, but the skies cleared just in time for the celebration to start. The couple’s priorities were a meaningful ceremony, great food and a rocking dance party. They incorporated family traditions, such as the 1,000 paper cranes folded by the groom’s mother and other family and friends (a Japanese symbol of happiness, prosperity and luck), and a prayer sung by all of the guests before dinner that has been passed down through the bride’s family. The dance floor was packed (they even danced before dinner!) and guests enjoyed the bride’s favorite treat – ice cream sandwiches – as a late night snack. The groom’s surprise serenade to the bride was a highlight of the night!­
