Megan and Phil (who recently celebrated their first anniversary!) were married on a FREEZING cold day in January at the Machine Shop. They braved the cold for some fabulous outdoor photos – there was even a light magical snow later in the day! However, most of the day was spent in the warm, romantic atmosphere of the Machine Shop. We went with a winter-white design with lots of candles and a little sparkle in the statement hanging installation. The cold temperature outside didn’t keep this ice-cream loving couple from serving their favorite treat for dessert!

One of my favorite parts of the day was the ceremony-in-the-round. It’s such an intimate setup that results in the couple being literally surrounded by their loved ones. The Machine Shop is the perfect venue for unique ceremony configurations.

Of course Megan and Phil’s Frenchie, Darla, nearly stole the show!

Megan’s fur coat was both form and function – a great fashion piece and kept her nice and warm in those freezing temps!

As you can see, the hanging installation of babies breath, crystals and lights transitioned easily from a ceremony focal point to a statement piece over the head table.

Can’t you just feel that warm, cozy glow??

We were lucky enough to be one of the last weddings that the amazing Tracy of Farina Baking Co. took on before she closed her doors. Her cakes were so delicious!! A perfect accompaniment to the three different ice cream flavors the guests were served for dessert.
